Delete synced data

This public page explains how to remove supported server-side Noor Quran data while keeping your account. Signing in is required only when you perform the deletion.

Delete synced data in Noor Quran

  1. Sign in to Noor Quran and open Account.
  2. Open Export & deletion.
  3. Under Delete synced data, enter your current password.
  4. Choose Delete cloud data and wait for the completion message.

The current self-service partial-deletion control is in the signed-in Noor Quran website account area. Password confirmation protects the destructive action. The Android app provides a separate full-account deletion flow under Settings → Account → Delete account.

Server data affected

The operation removes supported server-side notes and note versions, collections and collection items, bookmarks, reading and listening progress, memorisation data, Khatm data, sync envelopes and versions, idempotency records, and synced preferences or settings. Your Noor Quran account remains open.

What remains

Data stored only in the app or browser on a device is separate and is not remotely erased by this operation. Clear the application or browser storage, or remove the application, if you also want to delete that local copy.

Limited security, audit, deletion-completion, or de-identified records may remain where documented. Provider logs and backups may follow the provider's applicable retention schedule; Noor Quran does not claim a fixed purge period where none has been established.

Different from deleting your account

Delete synced data keeps your account and sign-in credentials. To close the account and remove or de-identify the covered account data, use the separate full account-deletion flow.
